Assam SLET Exam 2025 Overview
The Assam SLET Exam Overview for State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025 is as follows: The exam will be conducted by the State Level Eligibility Test Commission, Assam (NE Region) on 23rd March 2025 (Sunday). It is a written offline exam consisting of two papers, with a total of 150 questions (50 in Paper 1 and 100 in Paper 2). The exam carries a total of 300 marks (100 marks for Paper 1 and 200 marks for Paper 2) and has a duration of 3 hours (1 hour for Paper 1 and 2 hours for Paper 2). There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. There is no upper age limit for candidates applying for the Assistant Professor position. Candidates who qualify in the exam will be eligible to apply for Assistant Professor roles within the jurisdictions of the SLET Commission’s Member States. They will receive a Pass Certificate valid indefinitely.

Paper-I will cover general subjects, aimed at assessing the candidate’s teaching/research aptitude. It is designed to evaluate the candidate’s reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
Paper-II will consist of 100 objective-type questions based on the subject. Each question will carry 2 marks.
Note: Visually impaired candidates and PWD candidates with writing disabilities will be provided compensatory time of 20 minutes for Paper-I. In Paper-II, these candidates will receive a total of 40 minutes of compensatory time.

Assam SLET Exam 2025 Exam Centres
Efforts will be made to establish at least one center in each constituent university of the SLET Commission, provided there are a minimum of 25 candidates. If the number of candidates at a center is below this threshold, they will be assigned to the nearest available center.
